Re: Mosin gunsmith needed
Most gunsmiths won't touch a mosin because of the difficulty in removing the barrel and machine work involved in getting a replacement barrel to index properly along with their general view of a mosin being a "cheap junk rifle" The cost wasn't worth it although mosin prices have really go...

Re: The Mosin You Wish You Still Had
Well, I'd say the Polish Mosin I sold to the LGS some years ago......but Rongo doesn't mind, he bought it. And I know it has a good home.

Re: Keine genaue Bestimmung meiner Mosin Nagant

Re: AR Backup Sights
I have an MBUS and a CT red/green dot on the house rifle. Yes, rifle. I converted that one to a rifle with a 16" barrel. It shoots fine either way. It's SWMBO's HD gun, as she didn't like any of the handguns. I told her to not bother turning the red dot on, just center the round field in the CT...

Re: 303 British SP in 7.62 x54r case
You can't import .310" and .311" bullets (projectiles, not loaded ammo) into your country? I'd try that first before buying loaded ammo and taking it down for the bullets. The Sierra .311 is popular for hunting.

Re: New gun laws.
One those of you who own AR pistols with braces on them might want to pay attention to is ATF Final Rule 2021-08F: (Not just AR's, BTW, all braced pistols) 120 days after it is entered into the Federal Register, (which should be Monday Jan. 16, 2023) you will have to have either 1.) Removed the brac...

If you have an eye exam coming up soon, have the Dr. check for retinopathy. Diabetes can cause retinopathy, which is an increase in the number and size of blood vessels in and behind the retina. Often, an OD or opthalmologist will refer a pt. to a Dr. for the run of tests for diabetes. Another way d...

Re: Wife's Creativity Pt II........
Yeah, my wife is creative that way , too. She also likes to play with power tools. (gets it from her mom) She bought a Scamp mini-camper that had been gutted, and rebuilt the insides the way she wanted. I had to rivet the new vent in the top, and replace to hubs, but the rest was all her. Now I will...

Re: Halloween then Christmas!!!!!
I was talking to my wife about this stuff a couple of nights ago, wondering why we haven't heard our first Christmas ad on TV. The way that Madison Avenue pushes Christmas shopping makes me sick of the season by the end of Nov. You aren't watching the Hallmark Channel. I expect Christmas to ...

Re: USAF 604 Build Progress.......
Ugh! I didn't think I'd ever get to sleep on the 130, but I did. So, I too am starting a retro build, one I've been wanting to do for a long time: I was issued a Harrington & Richardson made M16A1. I found a place that will engrave your 80% receiver (it has to be 80% because, California.) that ...

It looks good, Mike!
Even weighing a pound more, Id have still preferred an A2 over my A1, I'd have never used the fun switch on one anyway.
When I get further on my A1 build I'll post my progress with pics.
This will have to do for now:
