Re: Finding origin of VKT M-91
I finally had a chance to test fire Finnish Blonde. Five rounds of Red Army fired without problems. BUT She ejected the cases easy, the easiest ejecting Mosin I have owned. ![smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Re: Finding origin of VKT M-91
The pin is flush in cocked position. I believe it was set by by flushing the back end of pin in cocking piece. I will try to set pin length with field pin gauge. I wont change anything else. It will be a week before I get to the range to test fire.

Re: Finding origin of VKT M-91
It chambered Tula commercial, a Remington commercial and a surplus silver tip. I checked pin protusion, it is almost flush with bolt face. Will have to screw it down to match with pin protusion gauge. Will changing pin length affect head space?

Finding origin of VKT M-91
I have found a Finnish VKT M-91 dated 1941. The only clue I can find to it's previous history is a small circular mark on underside of tang. It may be a Chatellerault mark. What else do I look for?

Bore gel
Has anyone here used this newly advertised Hoppes bore gel in their Mosins? How well did it work? Did it cause problems?

Re: Possible counterfeit m44
It could have been a recycled receiver or a receiver made and stamped in 43, then assembled into a carbine later.
