Refinishing a stock on a milsurp is just an all-around bad idea. Plan on seeing the value of the gun drop significantly if you refinish or modify the gun. Welcome! There are still some fair deals out there, just be patient & you'll find a good one. Strongly consider getting your C&R FFL... Much easier to get them when it can be shipped to your door.
