Yeah, now these go for $295 and higher, depending on condition. Nice rifle. Love the Swiss stuff.

Re: Whats your most accurate milsurp rifle?
K31 here. I presume my 1896/11 would also be a contender but I haven't had it out enough to be able to judge how accurate it is.

Got mine last year from Sarco. They didn't have it listed on their site, but I called them and they had one in stock.sharpie443 wrote:I've been keeping my eye out for a 9mm conversion barrel for mine but they seem to be quite rare.SA1911a1 wrote:Other than my 1911, the TTC is my favorite shooter; I shoot it in 7.62 and 9mm.

Re: Schmidt Rubin
I don't have a K11 in my collection so I am jealous of your rifle it is a nice looking weapon, but I do have two K31's, a 1911, a 96/11, a 1889 and a Vetterli so a K11 is on my wish list. I believe Tennessee Gun Parts have taller sights for the K11 as the K31 front sight is the same if I am not mis...

Re: CZ 82 accuracy
When I first got mine I was all over the place. Once I got used to the gun, I could hit bulls eyes all day long. I would say, keep practicing. CZ-82's are very accurate guns.

Re: Bersa Thunder 380
My first question would always be: is your pistol oiled properly? Auto-feeders need to be oiled properly for them to function properly. Feeding problems can be from ammo or the feed ramp, but it can also be a symptom of the gun being too dry.

I agree completely!!OLD OUTLAW wrote:Of the 8 different pistols I own and shoot at times, the CZ82 instantly became my favorite. If I could only own one pistol right now, I would sell my $500 to $600 or more ones and keep the CZ82.

Re: Comparing the CZ-82 and the Tokarev
My CZ-82 can out shoot my Tokarev all day long. The Tokarev round packs more punch and clocks in around 1400fps, but the 9x18 is punchy as well. I would say the CZ is just a better weapon all around, though. Double stack magazine holding 15 rounds, polygonal rifling making it very accurate, the sigh...

Re: New K31 pictures and need advice
If it's a 42 it should originally have had a walnut stuck. Not sure if Classic was going by years and assuming they were all walnut or what. The stock is definitely a 55 if that is what is stamped under the buttplate. There should be a serial number on the stock and the handguard where the barrel re...

Re: New K31 pictures and need advice
They don't know the exact date of the switch. Best anyone can surmise is late 44, and even after that there were still some walnut stocks used here and there until they were all gone.

Re: New K31 pictures and need advice
By the way, the stamp under the buttplate will have a Roman numeral for the month, and a two digit number for the year, ie. VII 43.

Re: New K31 pictures and need advice
This picture is blurry, but it shows what a beech stock would look like, the white drops of color I was talking about. If your rifle stock does not have this, it's walnut.

Re: New K31 pictures and need advice
Walnut stocks on K31s vary in color from very light (like yours) to the dark walnut we all know and love. A good way to get an idea of what wood your stock is made out of, check under the buttplate for the stamped date. If it is made in 44 or before, you probably have a walnut stock, whether it is l...

Yep, that is what I've always heard/read. I'd like to get one to see for myself. $215 is a steal for one of these.millman wrote:If you can find a rifle to out shoot them, it would most likely be one of these Swedes.lonesome wrote:Sweet.
