Re: New to me AIM Surplus Romanian TT-C Tokarev

There is one place I remember that was selling NOS 9mm barrels, but they were $185 plus shipping. Buy a complete pistol, pull the barrel, I'll buy everything less the barrel and frame (including the mags and holster if it comes with one) Deduct $80 from your total and I'll pay you the difference. Th...

Re: New to me AIM Surplus Romanian TT-C Tokarev

That is a nice gun, you will enjoy it. I have a pair of these great guns that I got 9mm barrels for when they were easy and cheap to find. The mags work perfectly with either ammo. It is like having two guns in one. I am an idiot. I've had the Yugo 7.62 version for years (M57) and recently bought t...

Re: Steyr M95 carbine

I own alot of milsurp rifles and the little M95 is definately one of my favorites. A blast to shoot and the straight pull is very unique. It's also cool to pull out a 100 year old rifle that looks like it was built yesterday. 1917 models definately dominate the market by far. I have a 1914, 1916, an...

Re: New Mouser photos

I've been watching for a M24/47, a few VZ24's and quite a few Turkish Mausers for sale locally, but no 24/47's. I actually bought an M48 last week from a private party, bought I prefer the 24/47 to the 48. I have a buddy that is big into Mauser's and he claims the 24/47 is tops for a shooter, right ...

Re: Empty Mosin Crates

When I say I had a ton of stuff I packed away, that I need to sort and liquidate, I was underestimating. We went from a 5 bedroom farmhouse with 9 large out buildings and 30 years of accumalated stuff, to a 3 bedroom split entry with a single 20x24 garage and an 8' shed. That's the definition of try...

Re: RE: Re: Empty Mosin Crates

I married a nymphomaniac super model, but I have never peeked under her dress. Oh I will someday, but I am waiting till I can no longer stand the temptation. Yeah, right. Let me up. None of are guaranteed to live till some day. This whole idea don't even make sense to me. Trust me I'd love to peak ...

That would be really something, because that kid is now my son- in- law to be next August. He'd have a great time trying to explain that one.

Re: Empty Mosin Crates

You in the USA? In this country we have the Gun Control act of 1968 mandating that all firearms imported into the US must have the country of origin, importer's name ,caliber engraved on them, we call this the import mark. In order to do this each crate must be opened, the rifles removed, properly ...

Re: Empty Mosin Crates

Nope, the ones I have are full of Mosins. But, do you still have one never opened? I sold a 4 wheeler ATV a number of years ago and the kid just couldn't quite come up with enough to buy it. I finally settled on a 14' Lund and an unopened case of 91/30's to complete the sale. The crate has never be...

Re: Empty Mosin Crates

Watch your local Armslist. I've seen them listed somewhat frequently, every 2 or 3 months in my locale one will pop up. A crate is cost prohibitive to ship so people will peddle them to their local market.

Re: Samco

This is a real shame, competition is great for consumers. I really preferred Samco to Century. The neat thing about Samco is they would on occasion sneak some limited number, rare find C&R firearms on their site, kind of a reward for the people who chanced upon the listing. Stock up. With the ex...

Re: Recoil Question

The Model 91 should have had the least recoil of all, interesting, any issues with your handguard slipping off? Let’s talk milsurp recoil, the Model 95 Mannlicher carbine in 8X56R tops all mentioned. Though on a side note, my late war 1944 Dot K98 with the stamped parts along with the maple stock i...

Re: M44 supplier suggestions - AIM vs Classic

My response would have been AIM. Yes, it seems to take a little longer for their order/shipping process to kick in. I've done my fair share of business with them in the past. I just got tired of the crap shoot when ordering sight unseen. If any issues popped up, they were all over it. I've never ha...

Re: personal favorite it your collection?

Kind of hard to pick just one but if I had to choose, I'd say my 1916 Tula Peter The Great m91. Austrian captured and later in the hands of the Finns. http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee381/sszudzik/Firearms/Mosin/1916%20Tula%20-%20Peter%20The%20Great/_MG_9327.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/al...

Re: Import ban! Time to stock up!

It has occurred to me that if the Administration wanted to hurt Russia, instead of some goofy back door gun control, they should stop import of Russian Vodka. That'd really get their attention! You are right on the money. The ban is nothing more than a back door plan to ban imports and further thei...

Re: M44 supplier suggestions - AIM vs Classic

You could order a couple from each place, and make notes on things like friendliness, customer service, quality of packing, promptness in shipping, etc. ... then compare notes and you will have a wealth of info for future purchases. Personally I think you will be fine either way. As for best of 5, ...

personal favorite it your collection?

I was showing my collection to someone today and was struck by something strange. My friend asked me if I were to only keep one of my rifles which would it be? My answer surprised me and it didn't take long to answer. My favorite model is the 91/59 and I have a couple of them, but that wasn't my cho...

Re: Import ban! Time to stock up!

The Obama administration and BATFE talk about banning this that and the other, but doesn't congress have to pass a bill to actually make it happen? I recently saw an article saying the BATFE intends to ban the sale of M855 5.56 ammo because civilians shouldn't have steel core "armor piercing&q...
