Any importance to a stock cartouche with a Z and crossed cannons?

Couldn't stand it any longer. Pulled the trigger and put the rifle on 90 day lay a way. $200.00 plus tax . Will try to get some pics next week when I go back to make my first payment.

What is the best way to glue the upper hand guard back together? The picture doesn't show it but it is completely in half.

Is this a war damaged stock? There are 2 splice repairs in the lower hand guard (looks like one fell out long ago) and several dowel repairs. I would love to know how the burn mark got there.

Yes but do not throw the damaged one away. Notice the little wings on the bolt carrier? There should be slots on the receiver that these wings slip in to. Well, I did pull the trigger. They were asking $399.99 months ago and marked it down to $189.99 last week. Paid $150.00 out the door. Soooooo, what do I have?

Will the 91/30 bolt carrier work on the M27?

Should I be worried about this?

Well, I went and looked again. Date is 1932 not 1934. Marked with a F, D, SA and a T in a triangle. Appears to be a T in a circle under the bolt handle. Rifling looks good but the end of the barrel is bored larger to a depth of @ 1/2 inch or less. Why would they do this? Will get pics up after work.

Going back tomorrow and take another look at the M27. Taking my bore light , ammo to check crown, and camera to take pictures. More than likely I'll place it on layaway at least. I'll post pics and anymore info after work.

The stock is really beat up but it looks like old wear and it's the color of drift wood. Hand guards are the worst with the split and missing wood.

It is amazing how much crud can hide inside the bolt and all its parts. A lot of people neglect to remove the extractor from the bolt and if you do be careful not to bend it, but there will be more crud under there in the little slotted area. Got it! Now to pick up a 40" long piece of 6" ...

Not going to shoot it yet. Once the weather clears, I'm disassembling the rifle and cleaning it the same way. Bolt already cycles better than it did!

Finally got the time to clean the cosmo from my 91/30 Izhevsk bolt. Didn't have the chance to do the barrel or stock. I live in NC and we had a few rain showers today. LOL!
