Re: Straight Stock Finn M39 listing

I have three straight stocks and one is already on your list. One that is not is in the 214 xxx range and it has additional joints on each side of the stock midway through the stock.

Re: m39 bolt double stamped

I would think it was somewhat typical that the Finns would restamp the bolt and not scrub the original numbers. But the ball portion of the bolt doesn't match the barrel shank, floor plate or receiver but the portion that is normally stamped by the russians does match the rest of the rifle.

m39 bolt double stamped

Hello All, I acquired another m39 recently and the bolt is double stamped. The bolt nob numbers do not match the rifle but the number closer to the bolt body do. Did the Finns do this to match up the bolts during refurbishment or just maintenance? The stamp and the overall bolt surface show a simila...

pair of CZ 75 pre Bs

I picked these two CZ 75 from an estate sale, I sold a pre b a few years ago and have not run across one other than the recent police surplus imports. One is import marked and dated 1985 the other is blued and doe not have an import mark. I am unable to determine the year of the blued one either 198...

Inglis Hi Power finish?

I saw an Inglis high power a week ago with a finish that looked too good but the price was around what the police surplus imports have been going for so I decided to just pick it up. It looks like the previous owner refinished it to the original finish it may have had when it left the factory in 194...

Re: MAS 36- why so little interest?

I have been looking to to add a pre war MAS 36 to my collection. I came across one locally that is pre war rifle that has been refurbished. The bolt and receiver match but the trigger guard and floor plate do not match. Is this common for a pre war made rifle that was refurbished? Also do you guys h...

Mis matched ex sniper

Hello I picked up the 1943 ex sniper out of a pile of mosin last week. I initially thought is was numbers matching because I was looking at a pile of mosin stuffed into a pile of other firearms and just glanced the last few digits and they matched. The floor plate and butt plate are forced matched b...

Sapishka- So i took another look and the 1903 stock just has the SA marking on the butt stock. It has two horizontal screws on the right side on the rear part of the receiver. The C stock has a small s by the the cut off.

Thanks for the info.

Re: Remington 1903 and 1903A3

JER- Thanks for the info, I will keep note and keep my eyes open on the stocka. I did a little looking around to kinda ballpark the cost of a correct stock and the price on some of those things get kinda close to what I paid for each rifle so I'm not to sure how excited I am to begin looking. Boltac...

Re: Remington 1903 and 1903A3

Hey boltaction- No I cannot find any other markings on the C stock. Would this be a correct replacement to the original stock? The 1903 has a tiny bit of orange paint on it. The barrel picture has some glare on it but they are dated 10-42 and 12-42 would these be the correct dates to the receivers? ...

Remington 1903 and 1903A3

I picked up a pair of 1903 Springfields from a guy that I have acquired a few firearms from. I only have basic knowledge of the 1903's but I thought the price was good since I bought a couple rifles from him I was able to get the prices down on all the rifles since I was buying them together. Looked...

Re: AIM now offering "shooter grade" m44s

So I got in the shooter grade M44s from Aim. They are all Izhevsks the 1946 numbers match, 0ne 1945 all matches except for the force matched butt plate and the other 1945 bolt does not match . They all came without cleaning rods. The bores all look pretty good. http://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/u5...

Hello Everyone,

Just putting in my first post. I had a couple Mosins for a while but in the last couple weeks I started buying more. So I thought it was a good idea to get registered here.
