New Mosin Collector.
Found a pretty Tula that I want to restore a bit and shoot.
The gun and barrel are in good shape but the bayonet and the stock are wrong.
I am also confused about the history of the piece, so I am researching.

I purchased a Tula 1938. I think it is an ex sniper but I am confused as one of the drill holes is really far forward. I can see where they fixed two of them but the third is almost at the end of the receiver and I can still see threads as they did not really plug it. Or is it some gas escape hole o...
