Re: Bolt hard to operate
I use rem oil to clean with then throw on a light coat of white lithium grease spray. This combo has always worked well in my other guns.

Re: Bolt hard to operate
Yeah I totally stripped it down, cleaned and relubed it. It's still sticky, maybe I just need to break it in

Anyone got an extra spam can opener?
I just ordered a spam can of 7.62x54r and wanted to pickup an opener for it to keep with my stash. If someone has one lying around I could buy it off you. Thanks!

Re: Bolt hard to operate
Both, but I researched online and I found that if I cock the bolt manually before cocking the bolt itself that it goes much easier. Something to do with the spring maybe?websterz wrote:Hard to open and close empty or with a round in the chamber?

Re: Bolt hard to operate
You didn't mention what kind of gun. Is it all the time or after you fire? Lets assume its a mosin. Search for sticky bolt. I did but apparently that is too common of a phrase so I got no results: "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: sticky ...

Bolt hard to operate
The bolt action on my gun seems to be really hard to open most of the time, I was wondering if you guys knew any quick fixes for this. I already stripped, cleaned, and lubed it up but it's still hard to open and sometimes hard to close. Thanks.

1933 mosin hex mint condition
Just picked this bad boy today from Big5, I don't know a lot about mosins so I figured I'd post it on here and see what you experts think. The rifle is in suspiciously good condition, the wood looks almost brand new, the bluing is almost flawless with the exception of the tip of the barrel, and all ...

Re: New Members, Make your first post here!
Hey everyone, just picked up my first mosin last week, still on the 10 day waiting period so no pictures yet but it is a 1933 hex, just wondering how rare this one is. It's in decent shape and all the numbers appear to match. Let me know!
