Re: No. 1 Mk 3 Lee Enfield, need help.

You're misunderstanding me, I appreciate the history in my rifles. I also want them to shoot decently though. I love my K-31. It's a great shooter and there's history behind it, which is why I bought it. Would I have liked to gotten a Mosin that shot better? Yes. I like the one I have though, It's j...

Re: No. 1 Mk 3 Lee Enfield, need help.

If I get something, It's going to shoot decent. If I'm spending my Money on it. I made the mistake of buying for history with my Mosin, I've become the most frustrated with that rifle than anything else in the world. At one time, that rifle was just like all the others off the production lines. Hist...

Re: No. 1 Mk 3 Lee Enfield, need help.

I don't think they'll let me take pictures of it. You'll just have to take my word for it that it's in really good condition. I don't think I'll buy it. Might just go to Walmart and buy a Savage Axis or something, can get that for a lot less and it would be more accurate.

The card said 1948 manufacture. I'll have to go Monday and look at it again.

No. 1 Mk 3 Lee Enfield, need help.

Was at the LGS today and saw a nice SMLE for $325. The bore looked great, didn't get a chance to look at the crown. The stock was a deep dark color but looked very good. I don't know if the numbers were matching. The action was smooth as glass too. And as far as I know it's in original condition. Sh...

Re: Boresnake for Mosin

Well, you can use Hoppe's. It just takes longer and is less efficient. Your choice.

Re: Boresnake for Mosin

Mine didn't fit very tight unless the brush was in it. I got a .30 Cal one as well. I don't think it's supposed to fit super tight, mine is snug though.

Re: Boresnake for Mosin

I used the bores bake and it works great. A pot of water down the bore. Some Hoppe's #9 and Rem Oil on the snake and she was looking shiny. I recommend this very much.

Re: Boresnake for Mosin

I heard something about having you to use proprietary patches. Is that true? Or can you use different brand patches?

Re: Boresnake for Mosin

I just don't like using up all those patches. I'm going out today to buy a boresnake. If it doesn't work I can use it for my K-31. But I think it will work.

Boresnake for Mosin

Hello all, I know the subject of cleaning Mosins has been beat to death and back to life, but I was wondering. Would just a routine cleaning like the following work after corrosive ammo? First I would pour a pot of boiling water down the bore, then I would put Hoppe's 9 on the part of the Boresnake ...

Re: Yugo M24/47

I figured I should have at least one Mauser in my collection. It'd be another caliber I could hand load for. I've heard they're actually pretty darn good shooters too. PPU ammo shoots well in them I hope?

Yugo M24/47

Hello all, I'm wanting to get one of these M24/47 Yugo Mausers from Samco Global Arms for my birthday, and I was just wondering is there anyway to prevent me from getting a bad rifle? I'd be getting the "special select" quality and I don't think it's too fair to get the best condition they...

Re: Mosin Groupings Help

I try to shoot atleast twice a week. Sometimes I don't get that in due to weather, school, or other things. When my dad lets me shoot on my own, I plan to practice alot more. Recently I've been practicing with my 10/22 a good bit.
