I never said I agreed with them, I'm just surprised it never gets a mention.

Not new, but it's been over a year since I've posted anything, so I felt obligated to post here.

Prepper rifle
I sold my Chinese SKS some years ago, and have regretted it ever since. I like to frequent the prepper youtube channels and watch the arguments over which gun is the best all around gun and have found the SKS largely overlooked. Well made, decent commonly found ammo, semiautomatic, convenient size, ...

Re: Difference in Surplus ammo?
Is there any 54r that's considered "the best"? Not just surplus, but commercial. My groups are like a 12 gauge at 50 yards from the bench, and I want to see if it was both my guns or surplus Russian ammo that was the culprit. And before any of you smart alecks pull the "blame the oper...

Re: How many of you hunt with your Mosin Nagants?
I took both of mine to the range and off the bench the groups were pretty wide. I'll have to try better ammo than the Russian stuff to see if the groups get tight enough where I'd feel comfortable humanely taking an animal. My K31 on the other hand...

Re: What are the "going" prices?
The going rate right now is around a hundred bucks. And it's going straight up. I'm glad I caught the tail end of it, but I wouldn't be surprised if that price becomes a dream in the next year or two.

Re: Stoeger Condor rehab
I know this thread has been dead awhile, but this is the first time I've checked the shotgun forum. I got one of these in trade for a Taurus pistol and an old ten gauge a few months ago. Haven't fired it yet, just curious if you all have found it decently reliable. Hoping to take some geese with it ...

Re: And yet another Swedish Mauser! M38. (Pic. Heavy)
OK, I have a serious problem with these threads:
I have no gun money and these Swedes just look so sweet! Definately creeping up to the top of my list.
Maybe creeping is a bit of an understatement...

Re: 91/30 prices are creeping up
Have you noticed??? Over the past few months multiple distributors such as AIM, J&G, SOG, TG International & the place we do not speak of have all raised the price on a standard refurb 91/30. I'm thinking maybe another wave of them are coming soon. The place we do not speak of is it r guns ...

I'm looking at installing a garage hidden gun vault like in The Big Hit, or maybe have a set up like in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Re: new rifle!
Sorry to hear about your keyboard. But that post made me laugh anyway.
I need to replace the 5K5 I sold a few years ago. My biggest firearms regret was selling that rifle. Mine was Chinese, though. I think I want a Russian one next time. Nice get!

Re: Are we too soft with these rifle?
With the amount of rifles that are counter bored, wouldn't that indicate a lot of improper cleaning methods, therefor a lot of cleaning? How's that for logic?

Re: Range Day
What a GREAT range report!!! 8-) I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon! That's a great looking K31 by the way. Thanks, Ban. The K31 was my "destiny" rifle. I had just become interested in the Swiss rifles when I saw this one for sale. My Garand and Izhevsk were both 1943, an...

Nicely done Shawn! It was really interesting seeing the different groups for each rifle. You're shooting really well too. You've put together a really nice collection too! Each piece is a really nice example of its particular make/model :) To top it all off, it looks like you had fun! :toast: Thank...
