Re: 8mm Lebel ammo

Thanks for the info. Yes it s the original stuff in Lebel labeled box. I don't have a rifle but would be happy to pick it up for someone who wants it.

Didn't notice if it was surplus or not, tho box looked like commercial manufacture, no military markings.

8mm Lebel ammo

A guy at local gun show had a full box of 8mm Lebel ammo. Box has tear on 1 side. Anyone interested and I will go back to gun show and pick it up if still there. Add exact shipping. If I have to go back tomorrow, add $5 to cover new entry fee.

Pawn Shop Finds

Stopped by my favorite pawn shop yesterday and on first glance I saw a whole crate of M91/30's. Wow, a closer look revealed they were all ex dragoons. Mixture of both Tula and Izhevsk. Oldest I could see was 1922 and newest was 1928. Referbs in all stock types, bayonet and cleaning rod but no other ...

Thanks all. By the way, this rifle is not stamped Norinco, just China.

Triangle 416

Found this in my favorite pawn shop. It is a triangle 416 with a serial # of 1,xxx,442 in great condition. Still had a lot of cosmoline everywhere tho. There is a tiny CAI import stamping on the left side and no import serial #. Magazine does not match, everything else does. Rifle was in the rack wi...

Re: nice n nippy morning at the range

What caliber is your 40 M91, 2nd target? Doesn't look like 7.62 by the size of the holes.

Re: Shocking

Never give up looking. Saturday, after many months of looking, I found and purchased a 1942 and a 1943 Izhevsk M91/30, at local gun show, both in laminated stocks for $220, for the pair. Only Mn's in show.

Found use for spare bayonets

Went to the local gun show yesterday and saw 1 M91/30, a 1942 Izhevsk in a laminated stock. Price was $135. He said he had another 1 out in his car that was similar but only wanted $100 for it because the rifling was not quite as good. He brought it in and it was a 1943 Izhevsk, also in a laminated ...

Re: 1943 Tula barrel on Izhevsk hex receiver

What was the condition overall? I can almost assure you it was a good but, but why did you pass exactly? I don't see the reason given as being a good reason to pass. I have never insisted on disassembling a milsurp first. I might in the future but it won't be for a 200.00 gun. Anything broken insid...

Looked to be an Izhevsk crest stamped on top of receiver.

That was the Communist Crest, Izhevsk never stamped there crest on the recievers.
OK, is it worth $200?

1943 Tula barrel on Izhevsk hex receiver

I passed on this rifle at $200. Did I screw up? Was in a pawn shop and couldn't take out of the stock to see the receiver date. All #rd parts were matched to the new barrel.
