Re: Mosin Two Sided Oil Cans
I bought 5 oil cans off ebay still in cosmoline. They're the 2-sided Soviet circular ones for oil and alkaline solvent. I got them for a total of $25. Do you think the prices on these will go up anytime soon? I really only need one, and I'm ordering a separate kit that comes with a Soviet Single co...

Re: A Trip to Cabela's
The Boise Cabelas had a few for $179. Nothing special about any of them. I asked the gun library guy if they were received in crates from the distributor and he told me they usually come in boxes of 1 to 2 rifles. One of the rifles had Molot markings, so maybe that's where they are getting them Neve...

The two B's I bought had better stocks than the M44 i bought 10 years ago. Do you think they are doing a modern refurb?

Re: Tell me more about my M38
Hello this is my first time posting and first Mosin. I would greatly appreciate if you guys could tell me more about this rifle. This is what I have figured out through my research: -1944 Izhevsk M38 -wartime production stock -likely forced numbers matching? -not counter-bored -not extremely rare W...

Re: Copper fouling?
What did the Russians or Finns do in the field? I assume they didn't have the solvent and fancy new concoctions we have now. I'm sure conditions dictated whether they had a chance to even clean their rifle within a day or two of shooting it. They are hardy beasts, that's for sure.
