Re: Questions about a rifle I'm buying Saturday

To answer your question on the sling eyes, yours is common especially on 1943s. Some will have some metal in them, some will have no metal and some will have the original full escutcheons on both sides with very small screws holding the escutcheons in place.

Re: Please help me identify and value this M39

You have IMO a very nice and very desirable rifle. It is referred to by collectors as a 1967 no name or no maker. It is also a very early one with a 3 digit serial number since these rifles started at the 300k number. They were made in 1967, 1968,1969 and 1970. I have read that only about 5000 total...

Re: Need Info On This RA M91

If the date on the barrel shank is 1918 go for it quick. The most common dates for the Remington's are 1917, the 1916s and1918s are much less common. That gun IMO is well worth the money and well north of $400.

I would recommend to do nothing. Leave alone, it is all part of the history/story.

Re: G.A. Rem Mosin..I made a weak run at $2,150.00

In the scheme of things these guns are still a very good bargain. You ever watch the million dollar guns on history channel. Good guns that are in good condition and rare IMO will never go down in price. I am 67 years old and still collecting/buying. Maybe my kids will get em someday but I enjoy own...

Easily worth what you paid for it. Very nice rifle. I love those PL marked guns and also the straight stocks.

Re: GB auction - Rare Finnish SAT M91 Mosin Nagant

Well it just sold for 12.5K and IMO it is well worth the money. Could be the rarest of all Finn rifles. I am glad to see the new owner step up to the plate, when something this rare comes along many times you only have one chance and the new owner took it. Also this proves to me that these rifles ar...

Re: Just bought my first mosin!

For your first mosin you did great. An ex-dragoon is always a plus to a collection, but I think you got a very scarce ex-dragoon. Congratulations!

That particular gun is on display on the 7.62x54.net site. I am not sure of the serial number range whether it is correct or not. Maybe someone else has more data pertaining to the correct serial numbers for the 27rv.

I think you got that rifle at a very good price. Great looking stock and PL marked to boot. You can get your money back from me any day. How often do you see them, they're not being made any more. So enjoy a great find.

Looks like a very good deal to me. Looks like the stock finish may not be original. But in any event for that price, why not?

I say a very good deal. You don't see that sako gear wheel on m28s, that is uncommon.
