P-26 Dragoon...
I stopped by a gunshop yesterday where I saw an interesting Mosin. It was a P series Dragoon. I had owned a P-26 M91 in the past but had sold it to a Finn fanatic friend. Went home last night to read up on these birds and discovered that not many P Dragoons were made. So back I went this morning , c...

I bought it as soon as it was offered for sale. I wasn't about to let this one go by.

If you didn't already buy it, you messed up. That is hard to improve on as M38's go, in my opinion."

Finn capture M38 Mosin...
An older gent just consigned his rifle collection to my LGS. The rifles were mainly target types , as the owner had been involved in competitive shooting , but there was a single military weapon in the mix a 1941 Izhevsk M38 Mosin. The carbine's a mixmaster serial # wise and has seen quite a bit of ...

Finn M28-30 No Date...
I purchased this M28-30 rifle and bayonet over the weekend from an older gent looking to divest himself of his collection. I believe it's an early "No Date". The rifle's in nice shape with a great bore. The bayonet is a Fiskars. Here are some pics. Len image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.j...

Re: Simonov 91/30...
Thanks for the welcome and your kind comments fellas. A friend of mine and I were bemoaning the lack of interesting rifles at our local gunshows when this one turned up. Keep looking , they are out there! The Simonov really made for a great finish to the collecting year for me.
Best regards,
Len

Simonov 91/30...
I was walking around a gun show last Saturday when I came upon this rifle on another dealer's table. It's one of the trials rifles designed by the Simonov weapons bureau in 1936. During 1935-1936 trials were conducted to improve the 91/30 . The primary one that got into trial production , at Tula, w...
