Your's or mine? I'm pretty sure now mine are copper-washed steel case over mild steel core FMJ bullets. Silver-paint tipped for easy (for someone, not me) identification. I have the cutoff tool but I wanted to preserve the can... that didn't happen. I went to slick gun's ammo sales site and it looked like they opened their can (in the picture) without tearing it up. Maybe an old time kitchen can opener and lots of time?

I, too, have the Dillon XL650 set up for .223 Remington. Even though I bought the carbide dies, they still recommend not using steel cases. Did anyone else pick up on the phrase, "to start reloading"? If you're new to reloading, pick up a good reloading manual from a reliable company like Lee, Lyman, Hornady. When they say max load, they mean max load. If you know anyone who reloads, ask for advice or watch them for awhile. Al...

I just got my first sniper Sunday, still trying to find time to get the preserative out of the bolt and barrel. Got a M1891/30. BTW, how does one open the Russian ammo cans without tearing them up? :D
