Re: it followed me home!!

aw man!! You got me jumping around here? Ex-sniper? I don't see the filled holes, but I may have to remove the barrel from the stock you say? So maybe I should quit worrying about the cleaning rod jiggling? lol

it followed me home!!

Really it did!! Unlike my Wednesday adventure, this time it was day light. At a gun club. I was comfortable until he pointed out he has a lot of friends there and they are all armed........ 1936 Tula hex. When I got it home I was cycling the bolt and took it out. Then I managed to disassembl...

Re: it's official

If you are talking about the top of the barrel shank, it is probably the soviet crest. The Izhevsk stamp seems to be over struck with the "KO" stamp which is too cool. Of all the reds I have, I don't have one with that stamping on it. I still say you should send it to me for inspection......

Re: it's official

Well, right now, I know for sure that this '42 Izhevsk is the most rare and valuable Mosin Nagant ever. Because it is mine. :D

Re: it's official

I took more pics. Light isn't real good. Trying to find what the marks are still. On the top of the receiver, above the red letters is a barely discernible stamp. That would be the Izhevsk mark? http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j63/jimpierce7/rifle/DSCN0757_zpsf639f546.jpg http://i77.photobucket.co...

Re: it's official

my 5th grade class took a field trip to ride BART. Opening day in fact. I was one of the first 100 people to ride it. Concord to Oakland and back. That was all it did then. lol

Re: it's official

I live in Mountain View. Right in the middle of the whole mess!! Google over there.... Apple over here..... Faceplant back that way....... and I have nothing to do with any of them. Although my commute can be horrible. Once in awhile there is a car in front of me as I go the whole block to work!! lo...

Re: it's official

you mean like it will be on Saturday? At a gun club with lots of folks around? lol On Saturday I pick up a '36 Tula hex. With a tin of ammo. :D

Then I start saving my pennies back up and continue the search for an M91 or M24. I really want the long barrel.

I live in the San Fransisco bay area. The 21 miles I had to drive was through San Jose. I feel so ba...

M91 and M24? Are there any left? Do they really exist? lol I've been looking, but it seems not in the right places. I really don't know why for sure but I fell in love with the long barrels. Maybe its because they are the original? I don't know. But I have only seen one for sale that was recent. And...
