I guess we've seen the last steel case ammo out of Russia or the Ukraine.
Crazy times.
Here's what Putin thinks of the US position.

Re: NRA Declared as a Domestic Terror Group in SF
Look at gun laws nationwide and you can see the lines being drawn. In the last several decades gun rights are expanding in the center and south of the country while shrinking in the northeast and left coast. My state is surrounded by constitutional concealed carry states and I'm part of a group push...

I saw that the other day. I also like the homemade lead "egg basket" they are wearing while walking around the area. I guess they were afraid of radiation hitting some of their more tender places. The amount of land ruined by Chernobyl was considerable. http://chernobylplace.com/chernobyl-...

I just recieved a mailer from coleman's military surplus. I bought something from them last year. They have russian surplus ammo boxes for $20. I don't know how much shipping would cost. Item number 4591.

The .45 acp half moon clips were probably for a M1917 .45 acp revolver.

Re: Armed school staff
It shows my state as red, but that is only for teachers and staff. Each of our high schools has an armed resource officer assigned to it. The schools have ~2,500 students so they are basically small towns. There is a push to allow teachers and staff to have access to firearms in the smaller school d...

Re: Zastava M88A review w/pics
I have an M57 with 9mm and 7.62x25 barrels. I run M70A mags for 9mm with a spacer and M57 mags for 7.62x25. I found 4 M70A mags years ago.
The add on safety on the old models is not really a safety you can rely on. The M70A and M88A safety blocks the firing pin.

I've been wanting to get one and convert it to fire 7.62x25 or 9 mm with a barrel swap. Just because.

I have a 738 TCP in .380 and just picked up a 9mm Millenium G2. The TCP was $170 new and works fine with everything so far. The G2 was $200 used/new in box, but I haven't tried it yet. They were hard to pass up at those prices.

Re: Dan Wesson
Nice. I have a High Standard Sentinel MkIII. It's a .357 magnum made by Dan Wesson for Sears (I believe) in the the early years. I've been looking for a 6" barrel but it has the "pork chop" design so they are harder to find. After looking around the Dan Wesson forums, I did finally fi...

I'm a little surprised the Soviets haven't sorted out all the snipers, 91/59s, and anything newer looking and melted the rest down to make new arms. I could see them keeping SKSs and AKs for an emergency. I think they sold them because they were worth more than scrap and the hassle of scrapping them...

Re: Walmart ammo
Cabela's rotates sales on their 9mm and it's normally $12.99 or $13.99. They occasionally have 100 round bulk fmj practice stuff for around $28. Which makes no sense if you can buy others at $13. They have a steady supply of PPU Tokarev FMJ and JHP for $18 and $19. Which is the same price as surplus...

You can fix the stock, but at least if it doesn't work out for some reason, a replacement stock will be easy to track down. I've seen some go in the $15-30 range locally.

Cabela's has several different types, at several different weights. It might be better to buy a little and see how it works first. The one in town carries PPU 150gr and 182 gr. Plus Herter's brass case 180 gr SP, Hornaday, and I think Lapua.

That's a good price. It's a Russian stock cut and reworked to fit the new barrel.
You should stop posting about it until it's actually in your hands or I may figure out where it's located.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Valentine's Win--M28, M28/30 & others.
Looking at the photos again on my phone, the first looks heavily sanded. The finger grooves and gaps give it away. It also looks like they used a dark oak stain like I've used on an oak stock I carved for a shotgun. The second looks good. Better than my 28/30 did. I can't tell if it was sanded or no...

Re: Valentine's Win--M28, M28/30 & others.
It must be common with these. Mine was chemically stripped then sanded lightly with 60 grit sandpaper after they "fixed" some rough spots with wood filler. They got bored and the bolt wouldn't close on a round so I got it cheap. I fixed the bolt, cleaned out the filler, and did my best wit...
