Re: powders and other dumb questions
bunkysdad, tjtM38, jm190, entropy, boltaction, thank you very much for the generous amount of info you shared. I have much to digest and learn. I hadn't even thought about how the burn rate of the powders would be a factor in loading for a carbine vs full length barrel. I would like to support a loc...

powders and other dumb questions
No I didn't search the archives. I'm not being lazy. I believe knowledge changes over time, and what you thought and believed last year may be very different from what you're doing now, so forgive me if I'm asking questions that have been visited before. I'm new to reloading, and I'm looking at the ...

Rifle sling for an M44
Hi, I have a 1946 Izhevsk M44. It did not come with a sling when i bought it. I thought it would be an easy thing to just go and find a Mosin Nagant sling and put it on, but after visiting some of the sites associated to RMNF, i found out that there are many different kinds of slings. M44 PPSH web/l...

Re: Reloading for 7.5x55 Swiss
http://www.chuckhawks.com/7-5x55_Swiss.htm I will let the experts chime in but I think you would use a standard .308 bullet. Reloading is fun and I find it relaxing. Have fun... I purchase my loaded ammo at Graf & Sons.. http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/234? Wow, thanks. ...

Reloading for 7.5x55 Swiss
Hi, I'm new to the forum, and I'm interested in learning about reloading. I ordered a Lee Modern Reloading Manual, and will have it in a few days. In the mean time, most of what i've been absorbing is what i read here and elsewhere on the internet. Do any of you reload 7.5x55 Swiss? I've been lookin...

Re: Finally joined the reloading ranks.
Hi,
are you using any case lube on the cases, and if so, what brand/type are you using? Thanks in advance.

Re: Opening Spam can without the tool
I use a notched flat chisel for an air hammer, with a 16oz hammer. The notched chisel is designed for cutting sheet metal. Drive the tip at an angle until the steel goes into the notch and then drive it forward. Would go quicker hooking the air up, but at risk to hitting a primer, that would not be...

Re: Opening Spam can without the tool
Thanks guys. I've Youtubed it to death and usually it's some variation on hammer and chisel or Dremel. Opening the can from the bottom is something I hadn't heard of, and I'll have to try that. I might even try opening one of the short sides and make it into a garbage bin, or get creative and turn i...

Opening Spam can without the tool
Do you guys (and gals) have an easy or preferred way of opening a Spam can without the can opener? Hammer and chisel? Tin Snips? EMT shears? Dremel? I know the answer will probably be a lot of elbow grease, but i was hoping that someone was able to think outside the box and figured a better way. Tha...
