Re: My first Mosin

Yeah it was pretty cool to find the extra marks. If that is a 1916 Tula mark, how does that mate up to the Izhevsk stampings on the barrel near the breach?

Ok all, had some time to take some non-cellphone pics of my Mosin. Broke her down and found some interesting stuff on the underside of the barrel. Please analyze and let me know what you all think about the markings. Thanks!! http://s37.photobucket.com/user/conefree/library/1926%20Mosin?sort=2&p...

Re: My first Mosin

Sorry for the duplicate pics, signal isn't the greatest here and had to edit the post multiple times. Thanks for the warm welcome :) What are the indications that she was a refurb? And yes, I totally agree, getting a pre-1929 hex with the cyrillic stamping was part of my search criteria. I ideally w...

Re: My first Mosin

Here are some pictures of the Izhevsk. I am still fairly new to this, so I haven't been able to figure out what all the stampings mean. I am curious about the diamond and what looks to be a circled T on the receiver. Let me know if you all see anuthing of interest as well. Thanks! http://img.tapatal...
