Thats really nice. I have one with a shorter Tikka 9mm barrel. When converted, the Finns changed the official designation as well. All 9mm lugers are P08s. M23s were for the .30 luger caliber.

Re: Just acquired a Remington made Mosin Nagant with some strange stampings
The number may be related to a hunting license or driver license number.
I'd replace the front sight globe with an original blade so it will raise the point of impact, which is off due to the mismatched sights.
Nice find!

I concur with the reasoning here. Of the updated dragons I've seen, including a 1917 I own, most seem to also have the stacked front sights. Really unique example here. Real beauty.

I got one just like it on a Finn M38 several years ago. I think it was identified as a Romanian or Hungarian sling.

Looks like you have a modern German import/proofing mark. Really fine rifle there. PUOSTUSLAITOS marked M91s are not easy to come by.

OP,
Hard lesson, but useful experience. Brush off the dirt and get back in there, with some more wisdom. I sure made my share of mistakes.

Sorry, wasn't too clear. Still with the condition I'd say 350. Stock looks rather battered and you can find a better condition rifle for the price.

Re: NEW Mosin value check.
Way over priced. If it was in the original stock maybe. M91 stocks, handguard and cleaning rods are expensive and sparse. Do not buy this one if it doesn't come with the correct stock.

Wow! Just like my Westinghouse 91/30. Many of the others have been 1920s rifles. Man I'm gealous.

Congratulations on the M27! [emoji106] That one looks real nice, and the rarity is cool too! :Drool1: Hopefully the bore cleans up for you. My first Mosin was an M27, and now I have four of them. I do have a particular fondness for the Finnish Mosins. Watch the published serial number list(s). Ther...

I like that pistol and really want one. I was surprised that it is bigger than I imagined in person. I pictured them as smaller than they are. Great addition to the collection.

Right on! I love the Romanian conversions. Have to find a M44 made from a M91 also.

Yeah. I need a Remington to go with the NEW. I remember seeing a Tula like these at the time I was bidding on something else, like 2012 when I was still in the states. Great addition!

Re: M91 What the heck is it?
Not able to tell if it is an unmarked P series either. Possibly just the barrel shank was badly pitted and they buffed it off and renumbered it. Others are out there. I don't think it would be especially valuable, but it is collectable.

Welcome back and sorry for your loss. That is a snappy Valmet you scooped up. Should be a good shooter. Live life and be happy for your daughter. Good Mosin hunting.

Not having proof of authenticity does not mean fake. Unverified is a good term, and people can make up their own minds. Nothing jumps out as being wrong to me. Looks nice and I'd be glad to own it.

Re: Enfield No1 MkV
I'd value that at between 800 and 1200 depending on the market. Really nice one. I found one sportered for 175 and couldn't walk away from it. I'd grab one in the 600 to 700 range quickly, as my restored MKV is more of a place filler.
