Re: Houston, I have a problem
Soon you will be judging every purchase that is non-gun by how many guns you could buy with that money. After that, you will not make non-gun purchases at all. Enjoy your first Mosin as much as the next ones. Just don't sell any like I did. Pain and anguish is the reward for that. (Yoda voice)

Re: 1934 m27
Saw the bayos on ebay. They sure don't give em away, do they. I was at an auction a few years ago that had an m39 short rifle, a bayo for m39, and other stuff. I bought the m39 short rifle for 85 dollars. No import mark 90% condition. Sako 1941 if I remember right. Sold it a year later like an Idiot...

Re: 1934 m27
That makes sense because I believe the starting serial was 20,000 in 1927. This is probably my favorite rifle right now. Granted we are still honeymooning, but favorite all the same. I really like the stock repairs. I find them interesting. The bore is almost like new. It has very little sign of wea...

Re: 1934 m27
I would like a correct sling hanger, a sling, and a (everyone laugh) bayonet. I got the rifle relatively cheap (225.00), so I can lay a little cash down for stuff. The bayo is much more than a little, I know.

Re: GB Sellers P%#$ Me Off Sometimes...
Bubba has gone "commershul". He bought Mosins for 80-100 bucks and wants to sell his "skill" now that the rifle has gained popularity. I have more disdain for the purchaser than I do for Bubba. Bubba cant help it. He thinks he's doin' good. The fool that pays a premium for this.....

Re: First counterbored rifle
Maybe the slave labor would rather counterbore every barrel rather than get whipped for missing one that needed it.

1934 m27
Went to an auction today where an M27 happened to be. I happened to buy it. Happy day, wouldn't you say?
Does anyone have info on the double serial # on the barrel? the barrel has one serial on one side and another under the wood. I show both in the pics.
Here are some pics.

Re: Pawn shop GEW 88 Turk
After I paid for it I told him it was 8mm. I didn't say much else. When I say "guy" I should say kid. He was just an employee at a national chain pawn shop. He wouldn't know if I told him anyway.

Re: Pawn shop GEW 88 Turk
Yes, your right. Antiques are exempt from that. Pretty sure anyway. The guy at the pawn shop didn't know what it was. He had the caliber on the hang tag listed as .405. He had 169.00 on it but they were having a 25% 0ff sale. 134.00 otd.
