Imperial Russian 7.62x54r?

Howdy folks, I was wondering if anybody could identify if any of these cartridges are imperial era 7.62x54r. I believe the 9 cartridges second from the front are, but I'm not sure. Also, I believe the majority are WW2 era cartridges. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w265/glunk71/IMG_1357_zpsa03df2...

Re: 1902 Tula M91 Showcase Submission

Something has really got me stumped, my M91 has those marks on the stock in the exact same spot as yours in image 7. I passed them off as coincidental damage, but perhaps they were done deliberately, kill notches? It just seems quite odd, I'll post a pic up later.

Re: Unrefurbed 91/30s barrel is loose in stock?

Sorry for the late reply, I'm going to try shimmimg soon, but I probably won't end up shooting it all that much anyway, I've got my refurb for that. It seems it had been shimmed already, but only in one of the spots shown, perhaps the other fell out while the dealer was disassembling it for shipping?

All done, should work now. Couldn't upload it publicly on the chance that somebody might recognize us and decide to pinch our collection.

Day at the range with Romanian M44

Howdy folks, thought I'd share a short video that was taken yesterday at the range using my Samsung Galaxy SII, which records surprisingly decent footage. We took the M44, M91 and SMLE along. Unfortunately the M91 failed to fire its fourth round, leaving only a slight mark on the primer, the bolt al...

Oh man, I knew this one was something different, but I had no idea it would be anything like this from just looking at the advertisement! Amazing acquisition.

Re: Help identify these Mosins?

It looks original to me, but I'm no expert. All 3 are great looking rifles. How much is shipping. Shipping will be around $50 after I purchase one from the dealer, unfortunately I don't own any of these rifles (Yet) the dealer just let me take a look at what he's got coming in. Thanks for the info ...

Re: Help identify these Mosins?

m27 m28 m38 is there a SA stamp on the m38. Thanks, I'm not too sure if there's an SA stamp on the barrel shank, these rifles are still overseas waiting to be shipped to my local dealer. But the majority of firearms I've seen/purchased from this dealer (I recently purchased an SA marked 91/30),have...

Help identify these Mosins?

Howdy folks, I was wondering if anybody would be so kind to help me identify these three Mosins. I know the two at the top are Finnish, the last seems to be an (Non-refurb?) M38?

Re: No-date barrel shank

To bad about the thefts. Set some big rat traps. Coincidentally, that's exactly what my grandfather did! :chuckles: This was taken at his place about 3 months ago by my cousin, we were all having a good laugh about it. http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/9499/57503240391510318848263.jpg Uploaded wit...

Re: No-date barrel shank

Keep silent about what might be there, tell no one and show it to no one or risk losing it, your country's laws are extremely strict about guns in general and full auto military weapons in particular. Of course, somebody probably stole it long ago anyway, like everything else of value that was ever...

Re: No-date barrel shank

Speaking of Tommy guns, my Grandfather told me an interesting story recently. He and a few friends emigrated to Australia from Italy in roughly 1959/1960 to look for work. A little while after they arrived they decided to acquire some protection, one of my grandfathers' friends knew of an Italian gu...

Re: No-date barrel shank

My old man was able to spend some time with various pieces of beautiful weaponry during his trip to the states last year. Needless to say I was a little jealous :P

Re: No-date barrel shank

Feasting my eyes upon these beautiful firearms makes me a little sad that I'll probably never get the chance to own one, or even hold one in person :vsad: Well, there was this one time when I had the chance to mess around with a dealers 42' Garand for a couple minutes, unloaded of course :P Boy, wa...

Re: Lithgow SMLE No1 Mk3 1942/43

Holy smokes, that rifle sure is a beauty :o I've only just started acquiring SMLE's myself (Got another from 1918/1944 and one on the way from 1945), but unfortunately I haven't got a bayonet to go with either of those that I have right now  But I will soon :D Yeah have to say it helps that I ...

Re: Lithgow SMLE No1 Mk3 1942/43

Really nice No1 mate :) I've got a Longbranch No.4, and a 1916 purpose-built SMLE trainer. Have you got a M1907 bayonet to go with it, Samurai? Looks the goods alright  http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/af213/zhuk2/enfieldtrainer1907bayonet.jpg http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/af213/...

Re: Romanian M44

Welll that's a great find! Well done on completing your rifle mate :) What a bit of luck, eh? And for it to be a Romanian bayonet - who'da thunk it? :D Looks like a nice piece to me, wouldn't say it hasn't been looked after at all...and if you got it for a reasonable price all the better! M44s aren...

Re: Romanian M44

Good purchase! It looks like the wear and tear on the blue is pretty close on both your carbine and bayonet. I bouught mine seperately as well and my bayonet is much lighter than my carbine but at least it is a Romanian. This is the only Romanian M44 I've ever seen over here, I'm very gl...
