Re: No 5 MkI at Aim
$450.00 to $550.00, depending on condition and rarity. I bought mine, cash, face to face here in California, a couple of years ago before the CADOJ cracked down on that sort of free exchange of money and goods. Mine has a lot of paint missing from the barrel but overall is in pretty sweet shape, I s...

Re: No 5 MkI at Aim
These are Bubba'd. "Tastefully restored", according to AIM. Pretty sad. An Enfield shooter is only worth $300.00 to $350.00.

Re: dribs and drabs....the mosin comeback

Re: Bulgarian Makarov
Must be nice to live in a free state and be able to have C&R pistols delivered to your door! We here in California can only do that with long guns but pistols have to go through an FFL01/07. Such a hassle. No wonder I buy a lot of C&R pistols when I am out of state. Nice Bulgarian Mak, I lov...

Re: Anyone Have A CZ52?
I've been looking at and wanting a CZ52 for quite a while. Not sure if this is true, but I have read that because of the roller-locked short recoil-operated system, these pistols take a quite a pounding when cycling the relatively hot 7.62x25 round and that they will have a fairly short service, per...

Re: 1949 Waffenfabrik Bern K31 Carbine
One of my goals for 2015 is to get this rifle scoped by the end of the year, I have a feeling this K31 is much more accurate than my vision allows it to be. I already know I am getting the Swiss Products detachable mount but which kind of low dollar scope could I pick up used that would make economi...

Best non Mosin for a Mosin fanatic I can think of. They are interesting rifles.

Re: What to do with it?
The next challenge will be taking her out to 300 yards to see what I can do with it. Going to compare the Bulgarian Silver Tip with the Prvi brass ammo I have for it. Have to go to a different range though, this shooting spot maxes out at 150 yards.

Re: What to do with it?
Thanks qz. 150 yards is about all I can see with my 52 year old eyes. And putting a scope on a non PU sniper Mosin is a crime against humanity.

Re: What to do with it?
Range Report on "New To Me" Hungarian M44 Made it out to the range this morning to see how my refurbished Hungarian M44 shoots with it's new 02 stock versus how it shot with the Russian Bubba'd stock at the top of the page. In that stock, the rifle was pretty consistently a 4 moa rifle, a...

Re: What to do with it?
Taking her out to the range tomorrow, will be interesting to see what happens with accuracy. The Russian stock had no shims or bedding yet was about a 4 MOA gun with Bulgarian Silver Tip. I wonder what it will do in it's new 02 stock? Range report to follow.

Re: What to do with it?
My story has a happy ending. Thanks to the generosity of Calgunner echo1, my Hungarian M44 is now sitting in a very nice 02 Hungarian stock set. We were able to make it happen for very little money and just a little effort. I love it, I think it looks much better. Once again, the kind generosity of ...

Re: 1949 Waffenfabrik Bern K31 Carbine
I'd feel like less of a dork if I hadn't left the muzzle protector on upside down! Now I have to drag it all out and re-photograph it.

Re: What to do with it?
I may have found someone who is going to trade me this stock and few bucks for a Hungarian stock. He is shipping it, fingers crossed. It may be a happy ending for this Hungarian!

Re: C&R Easter Eggs of every color!
Thanks Jim. I have enjoyed building it up. I still have half a dozen M44s and SKS laying around, dripping in cosmo. Someday I will have time to clean them up and photograph them as well.

Re: C&R Easter Eggs of every color!
Photoboxes are good for when you have a lot of volume of images to shoot and just need to crank through them. Like for Ebay, etc. The only downside of a photobox for long guns is that it would have to be quite a bit longer than your longest gun and think about the angle. In order to fit a long gun i...

Re: What to do with it?
Yes, the filled in holes are on the bottom of the stock, I would have to turn it upside down for you to see them. Yes, it has been Bubba'd pretty badly, that's why I want to get a new stock for it. But then again, rifle is only worth $150.00, is it worth it to put $80.00 into a new Russian stock or ...
