Re: pissed off at wideners lack of courtesy toward customers
I ordered an M44 from Wideners on December 10th. It arrives tomorrow. Same thing, it took a month to arrive. I am just glad that I got one, their last batch of M44s where supposed to be amongst the nicest ever. You obviously would have a cardiac arrest if you ever had to wait for a CMP M1. As long a...

Re: Your best Mosin for 2012?
Even though it's not particularly rare, I scored this '53 Hungarian M44 at a local gun show for $200.00. Some idiot had screwed sling swivels into it and also painted the sling ferrules black. I took out the sling studs and filled the holes with plastic wood and colored them to match the stock. I bo...

Re: Need help on a K31
I have a 1949 with a Walnut stock, it was in immaculate shape but I paid $325.00 for it. But I live in California, we pay too much for guns here.

Re: I love carbines
Great post Dolk. I am a born, bred and raised Californian. I love this state, it is the best state from a weather, variety and physical beauty viewpoint. It is one of the top five worse states as far as people, it is a mess. It is one of the worst three for government. I have been here 50 years and ...

Re: How Do I Fix the Hair Trigger on my Hungarian M44?
Based upon how this looks? Does it look like that little chunk missing on the end could be a factor? Is the sear typically what is responsible for a hair trigger?

How Do I Fix the Hair Trigger on my Hungarian M44?
Hi all: I picked up a beautiful condition, slightly Bubba'd (some idiot sunk sling studs into the stock and painted the sling ferrules black?!?!?) Hungarian M44 at a recent gun show. I removed the sling studs, filled the holes with plastic wood and colored to get close to the blonde stock color. Hav...
