I would really like to have an unissued Polish M44 but my common sense tells me that anything over $500.00 is just too much although I bet even at $600.00, it's a good long term investment.

Wow, looking at that made me queasy. Just like cars, some guys just HAVE to tinker and unfortunately, because of the low cost, Mosins are almost always the victim. In a way, I admire his wanting to improve his gun but as a Mosin lover, it is just sad to see a nice Mosin destroyed.

While the Molot billboard is obnoxious, I must say that all of the Molot Mosins I have bought have been in pretty good shape. That's the price we pay for getting Mosins from Russia instead of the Ukraine these days. Not that big a deal.

OK, here's the problem. This doesn't look like a Hungarian Stock. I think it is Russian M-44 stock. So, someone, for some reason, put a Hungarian action in a Russian M-44 Stock.
