Re: ex-snipers in crates of Mosins

When the gun fund is dry, NEVER go to a store or an online venue that takes credit or debit cards. lol. Only go to places that take cash. That will help. I just made the mistake yesterday of pulling out my credit card, knowing full well I should have passed. I promised my wife no more Mosins until ...

Re: Increased value of Mosins

When I first got into these, a couple of my shooting buddies were making fun of the rifles, even calling them ugly. I told them they were missing the boat on one of the most historically significant firearms in history. They laughed. They all have at least one now. Anyone who says that a crate of Mo...

Re: B barrel ?

They just didn't get around to using them before the war ended, I am sure they did use some of course. Any Finn built rifle is worth having, and B barrels more than most as their numbers are limited. I have two B 1891's, and 2 B M39's, all excellent shooters. I would not let a B at a good price get...

Re: Another addition to the family

He's something else. I got the email and one was sold. After I hurried and emailed him, I refreshed the page and I think 8 were sold. Every time I get one of those Empire emails my heart starts pounding. This was a nice selection of rifles. Several M91 Finn and Finn capture, M27, M28, M24, 91/30, M3...

Another addition to the family

Just notified by Empire Arms of a new shipment of Finn guns. If any of you are on the Empire Arms mailing list, you know how it works, lol. You have to move quickly. Tula 1905 M91 with SA stamp. Finn 2 piece stock. Stock is a little light in color, might have to work it a bit..................... ht...

Re: First Mosin Suggestions

One important thing to keep in mind...............this is a disease. The history of these wonderful rifles is the most fascinating of any milsurp weapon, in my opinion. The simplicity, basic beauty, and numerous variations make the Mosin one of the most interesting firearms to collect. Ammo is cheap...

Re: Do you think the MOSINS are going to increase in Price

At this point in time, I think it is still prudent to try to buy quality Mosins. If your original intention was to assemble a smaller, more valuable collection, I don't believe I would abandon that in lieu of buying large quantities of refurbed 91/30s. Especially if you are operating with limited fu...

Re: "CYBER" Monday pick-up!

Beautiful piece. Last year at a general auction, there was a crate with about 15 ammo pouches in it. The items were moving slow, so I went to the bathroom. When I came back, it had just sold for $35...........

Re: Finally got my Mosin-Nagant today

It ended up being a 1943 Izhevsk. It of course is covered in cosmoline. The stock is wonderful except for a few scratches. There are no chips or major dings on it. It was also nice it came with the cleaning parts kit and oiler can that was supposed to not be included. I doubt I will use it but did ...

Re: Illinois resident needs gunshop search location ideas!

You aren't going to like my first suggestion! MOVE! Why anyone would want to put up with the northern section of your state beating up the rest of it is beyond me? Even OB moved out does that tell you anything? Seriously I would not consider Illinois a good place to live even if I have friends livi...
