Re: Alexander's Mosin Book
I jumped on the chance to buy Alexander's book when he first announced it and I am glad I did. It's a fantastic resource. I also kept the envelope it shipped in, it was just too cool to toss out.

Re: Range Trip Saturday June 11, 2016
LOL. Yea the cellphone sitting on the shooting bench did not make for the best video. But I didn't really think about recording it until I had shot 10 or 15 rounds.Longcolt44 wrote:Looks to have been fun. How the hell can you shoot through a slit in the wall?

Range Trip Saturday June 11, 2016
I spent a couple hours this morning at the local range with a friend. I took a 1954 T53 and my Romanian M1969 trainer rifle. Both shot great. Here is a short video of the T53 in action. I was really hoping to capture the fireball, but it was too much for my cellphone camera to accomplish. [bbvideo=5...

I've been reading through this book for about a month off and on. Man what a horde of information on the Mosin rifles.

My copy was delivered today. What a nice book. I must say, there is quite a lot of information here. I know it's probably all out there on the interworkings of the web, but it's really nice having it in a concise book to reference. Very nice job Alexander.

Re: cz 52
I have one and it's a load of fun to shoot. The milsurp ammo is quite potent. I also found a 9mm barrel for mine and had it fitted to my gun. There is also a company that sells aftermarket parts for them. You can find them at http://www.harringtonproducts.com/ and they make good products. Here is a ...

Nice! Only think I ever found in my trunk was a whole chicken that I bought at the grocery store and it fell behind the spare tire.

Re: 1972 Romanian M1969 Trainer
I was fiddling with my M69 trainer recently and started looking online for a manual again. I know there was never an official manual issued from the Romanian arsenal with these rifles but I had seen where one was written and sold by Paul Liska. His website has long been removed from the internet, bu...

Re: home..... home on the range............
I could shoot off my back patio at least once. But the neighbors probably would not like it and I would surely get a visit from the local PD. Every time I look out the window at the white shit falling from the sky today the more I wish I was at your local range.

Re: Bolt Opened or Bolt Left Closed?
I leave the bolt open on the rifles stored in my safes, but only because they fit better that way. On the racks I store them bolt closed.

Very nice. And in great shape for its age. I absolutely love the patina. Very cool. Whether you shoot it or not, it was a good score. Shooting it is just a bonus.

Re: No more firearm sales on Facebook and instagram
I have a facebook account. Some of my family that is the only way I stay in touch. But that said, facebook sucks. I hate the constant barrage of ads and the fake news stories. Not to mention the experiments in group mentality that facebook does constantly. The hell with facebook. I have no respect f...
