Re: SVT 40 Finn Capture

It has a feed issue. It sometimes jams on about the 3rd round. The point of the bullet does not raise up high enough to enter the chamber and jambs. I think it is a magazine issue myself. I'm going to buy another one (If I can find one cheap enough) and try it, ot it will go to the gunsmith.

On the stock in the barrel channel is stamped a purplish colored staming. It has the month and year stamped on it in Polish. It is exactly how Poland did there M44's from scratch. There is a diamond with something in it that is a mark of Poland also. The bluing is the same as Poland uses. The top of...

Re: .577 Snider Carbine

Well, it's the movies...... Snider was an American, he couldn't sell the breach loader to the US so he went to England and they bought it. The US went with the trap door type. There were several different types of carbines that came out of the Civil War that the Indians could have used. I don't thin...

Re: SKS Goes Away, T/C Comes to Stay

I look at that photo and it could be some of my rifles!

I have the CVA Kentucky rifle in the middle. It was a kit gun. I have a Investarms (same as the Thompsons) in a .58 cal Hawkins, which looks almost the same as your bottom one.

Nice rifle! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Some Garands don't ring or ping as the clip leaves. I don't know about the story about the Axis powers that took advantage of it or not is true, but it is not what I was talking about. If you remove your earplugs, there is a definite ring or ping (depending on what you want to call it) as the clip l...

I have a couple stripped stocks, and the fact that this was stripped had nothing to do with me buying it!
