Shooting com bloc 54R in M39 not marked 'D'
I have a 43 Sako M39 that is not marked with "D". [imageleft]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y220/loosenock/FinnM39%20007_zpsnmzabdxe.jpg[/imageleft] After researching on line and my own books I am at the conclusion that when the M39 was being make all of the M39s were made with the more ...

Re: Early Strakonice CZ50
I don't know if it was ever a military issue sidearm but it was certainly an issue to police and other gov't agencies. It was first made, and only for 2 years at the Strakonice armory. Further production for the CZ50 and 70 was at the Uhersky Brod armory. Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. ...

Early Strakonice CZ50
I came about this early Strakonice CZ 50. It has no import marks and what I've gathered it was the 3xx CZ 50 made in 1950. Original grips, 1 original magazine, one later magazine probably a CZ 50/70 magazine. No holster. The 7.65/.32 ACP pistol shoots sweet and is very accurate. [imageleft]http://i6...

Re: Yard Sale Nagant - '43 Izhevsk M1895
I really like mine. The more and more I read up about it the more impressed I was with it. Just before I did my daily review of these forums I looked at the listings on GB. The prices of the 1895 Nagant are rising. Anywhere from $159 through the $200' $300's upto $895 for a Husqvarna. I wouldn't let...

Re: Finn M91 VKT found/should I buy?
Still thinking about it. Its always been my luck that when ever I go and buy something, shortly after something really cool comes along that I don't have the money for because I just spent it.
Still thinking, thanks for your comments.

Re: Finn M91 VKT found/should I buy?
I would like to have a Finn in my collection. The problem is I would say it has been about a year and half since I've seen any Finn for sale. I'll continue to research and read the comments to my post. Tomorrow I'll know if I should go for it. Thanks for your comments and input. Much appreciated. 'd...

Finn M91 VKT found/should I buy?
I have located a Finn M91 with SA marked VKT barrel dated 1942. What I could see was all matching numbers, sling stirrups(for better word), cleaning rod, 2 piece stock 95% or better. The barrel, trigger guard, sights and all metal fittings I estimate at 95% to 98% blue finish retaining. Very solid f...

Re: Norinco 1911a1
I picked up a used Norinco 1911A1 years ago. It had no mods done to it. I'm really impressed with it to this day. From my experience shooting the 1911 in competition while serving in the USN the Norinco shoots as well if not better than issue '45s. In a recent session to the range doing some informa...

Re: Will we have a shortage?
What business or investor person would place an order and wire funds to any Ukrainian exporter for any sort material, surplus or wheat right now. There is no guarantee that the order would be received, filled or shipped. Conditions could drastically change overnight. The existing government is frail...

Re: Which is best PE, PEM or PU set up
Get one of each, and then answer the question for yourself! I would really enjoy having a collection of all the Mosin Nagant sniper variants including the Finns, Czechs et. al. It would be simple enough to set down at a bench and shoot each variant for accuracy comparisons. But how would anyone eve...

Re: Which is best PE, PEM or PU set up
Please delete the above post. I feel that it might be misinterpreted that I am attempting to build a sniper rifle. I am very aware that this forum is about conservation of original military rifles and I have no intention what so ever of building a sniper rilfe or making any modifications to any Mosi...

Which is best PE, PEM or PU set up
I've been a student of the Mosin Nagant sniper rifle off and on for the past few years and would like to hear some opinions on which of the scope and mount systems were the best. I feel that the PU system would be the easiest to install but the hardest to index zero. The high placement of scope left...

Reloading for 7.62x38r Nagant revolver
I recently found a Nagant revolver in a pawn shop. I'm looking forward to shooting it. I'm set up to reload I only need the dies which is one of my questions. Those of you who reload this cartridge which are the best dies? The other question I have is: I would think this cartridge would be simple to...

Re: 1st 1895 Nagant revolver found at local pawn
I've ordered a lanyard and cleaning rod found on-line, I also ordered some PRIVI ammo. I'm already set up for reloading and I'm thinking about picking up the dies for 7.62 Nagant. The only other thing I'd need to buy for reloading would be decent .311-.312 bullets. While I'm on reloading...it seems ...

1st 1895 Nagant revolver found at local pawn
I found this RGUNS import, arsenal refurbished 1938 Tula Nagant revolver yesterday and passed it up. After loosing sleep on not buying it I went back to the pawn shop this morning. I got there 30 minutes after they opened and told the employee I wanted to buy it. I was informed that another gent was...

If its Mosin Nagant I like 'em. Seems like most of what I have are M44's though.
