Re: What's Your Best Purchase Of 2013?
well it was not a mosin even though i did get a nice molot 1944 tula PU sniper. but my best deal is i traded installing a fuel pump in a ford expidition [ 200 bucks ] and 250 cash for a beautiful 1943 Rimington 1903A3 springfield with 160 rounds of ammo. these things are going for about 700=800 reta...

receiver 1944 M-39
i just picked up a 1944 SAKO M-39. i was looking it over and wanted to get a idea of who made the receiver. on the bottom of the tang it is marked with a large and clear # 2 only. nothing else on the receiver is helping identify the maker or year. i looked at the tang with a magnifying glass and lik...

Re: Any one live in California? (mostly a Mosin problem
Well, I'd move out of California...oh wait, I did that already... Not asking for sympathy....not at all. But I'll be damn if I "cut and run" either. See, these idiots in this state are only in the big cities. They came from your states. 80% of them were not born here, but moved...

Re: Want me a SKS !!!!
last year i got one of the chinese SKSs that came from Albania, to some here it would be a jewel. early [ 1958 ] all machined parts. no rust . cleaned and fired it without a problem. but it was just plain UGLY, the stock was shameful looking. dings galore. not my kind of rifle. most of t...

Re: Picked up a Yugo SKS Today
i picked up a never fired SKS 59/66A1 last year. i bought it PP 350 bucks. i love my Chinese SKS but side by side the YUGO is hands down a better rifle. part for part it is beefier . i do like the chinese chrome lined barrel but normal cleaning makes that a non issue. pick them both up and the chine...

Re: 42 Izhevsk PU sniper
anybody know why some Molots have electro pencil #s on the scope mount and some do not. my 1944 TULA has a line out # on the scope mount and the rifle # 43 stamped on it. no electro pencil.

clean her good and wipe the wood down and have fun. be sure to disassemble the bolt and clean it good. same for the receiver and chamber. a lot of folks have sticky problems form not cleaning it properly. get a spam can of .18c ammo and feel the history.
