Re: CZ75 P07 vs Ruger SR9

I have an SR9 and shoot it in USPSA competition. I do love it! It is limited for use in competition by the lack of a comp trigger. One of the best competition pistols is the CZ SP 01 Target Shadow. CZ has a great reputation for reliability and excellent triggers. So much so I a have a CZ 82 for conc...

Re: Mrs. Sheepdog bought me a CZ 82

Congratulations! I got one too. It is my CCW as well. Very accurate pistol and would be better with fiber optic sights or at least a front fiber optic. But even without them, it still hits what I shoot at! Watch that safety on the left side, it will rub a sore on your thumb after an extended session.

Re: So did anyone else...

They cut up private owners rifles in Australia? Tell me more. Was it some kind of government buy-back program or did they just expect everyone to turn in their firearms? When it first happened I believe it was a buy back program. Here is a video of what they did in 2010. https://www.youtube...

Re: So did anyone else...

I was planning on getting my c&r but don't think I will now. Why buy milsurps for uncle Sam to cut up like they did in Australia.

Re: Makarov P64

Thought I would let you guys know I passed on the P64 and have decided on either a PA 63 or CZ 82. More I thought about it I just didn't like the European mag release. Thanks for all your help. I'll post some pics of what I get once I win the Gunbroker bid or find one locally.

I am interested in getting a C&R myself. Could you explain what is involved as far as book keeping? Seems like a good investment for a collector.

Re: Makarov P64

I checked Impactguns and gunbroker and prices are $189 to $219. Only one was priced a $189. He is including two mags and the holster. I noticed it had the european mag release which I am not very fond of. I can wait until he has some CZ 82's in.

Makarov P64

I have been looking for a carry pistol and have a chance at a Makarov P64 for $200. Could someone tell me if this is an acceptable price? I have also heard the pistol has a bad muzzle flip and would like to confirm if that is true. I quess I could request to shoot it for evaluation first. I know the...

Re: Surplus ammo scares the crap out of me

Man, I must have the newest ammo of all. Circa 1984! Ivan boxed it up for me while listening to a black market cassette of Madonna. Wonder if they had black market records of the Andrew Sisters?

Re: Pistols on e-sarcoinc.com

Thanks, nice to know the company is a good one. They also have some Star 1911's I like. I have a friend who is into 1911's so I may get his opinion. Can't get in a hurry to buy one now since I am looking for a carry gun first. I would just love to have a 1911 in 9mm.

Pistols on e-sarcoinc.com

Just found this sight and know nothing about it. http://e-sarcoinc.com/ The prices are tempting but would like to know about quality and if some of the models should be left alone. I really like the Israeli clones but only if they are Israeli manufactured clones. Don't know if they are. Any help wou...

If he doesn't go for a Coach purse, sweeten the deal by throwing in a pair of Air Jordans. That M1 will be yours!

Re: what do you guys use the ammo pouches for?

I use one set for Mosin tools. Firing pin protrusion gage, headspace gages, front sight adjustment tool, stripper clips. I have about eigt pouches and everyone seems to be a little different. I rub them with leather wax, it brings back the luster and gets rid of greenish-white deposits around metal...

If we put as much salt on the roads as NY does it would have fallen out. We have very mild winters around here.
