Re: Bought a M38, or so I thought.

You did great! How many times do we see a rifle advertised as a M91 and then "see" its a 91/30. MHO would be the 91/59 is a bargain for a great looking rifle.

Re: M91 1915 Izhevsk goes to the range

Its was a DARK day when NASCAR began promoting that corn crap-gas.........I hate the stuff. Glad Smokey Yunick didn't live to see its full effect. Now NASCAR brags about 20% Ethanol.......and they get 98 octaine, ya cool,,,,,,,,they only run the crap for 500 miles or so and then tear EVERYTHING down...

Re: Where are all these Finns coming from?

Thinning the heard is one issue, the economy and frankly, cash flow for us retirees is part of it too, (especially since my better half has MANDATED that I sell something's before I buy ANYTHING)........and that means that my new long range .308 project will have to be financed from my Finn' :b sad:...

Re: Finnish Mosin Nagant M39 Sako Civil Guard Sniper?

I "jumped in" without readingeverything in the original ad. It is a fake. Ok. As for shooting it in a match......WHY?. Hell a pure M-39 with good ammo is likely to be a contender right out of the box....... :shifty: :shifty:

Re: Finnish Mosin Nagant M39 Sako Civil Guard Sniper?

:2cents: I believe its a FAKE. The few M39's the I have seen made into Snipers used a different mounting system and scope. :2cents: While far from an expert, I do know a bit about M39's and never found one with the 91/30 type side mount.

Re: Range day. Good, bad and ugly.

Clean, Clean and then clean again your chamber. Try the shotgun brush on an electric drill and some JB Bore paste, (once) and really clean the area out. Also get some LOOOng Q-Tips and get any crap out of the inner 'recess' areas. Regardless of accuracy, sticking should be eliminated. Lastly I have ...
