Re: PW Arms
My newest 91/30 is a PW with all original matching parts including the bayonet and has the mysterious "poison" red paint in the sight graduations, serial and bayonet serial. its dated 1939 unfortunately it does have a stock repair on the left side just above the trigger. Probably my nicest...

The Finn M39 trigger VS. the Soviet trigger, a question.
I noticed that The M39 trigger has two pins in it that ride the sear and the soviet trigger does not have them. Are those 2 pins what gives the M39 its "2 stage" trigger?

Re: accuracy kits, anyone try them?
No, if I wanted to shim a Mosin I could do it with tin snips and an empty beer can. That's way too expenive. First it starts with a beer can. And it has to be emptied first. Then 6 beers later, your friend comes over to say he can cut the shims better. 6 beers later, you all think you have it shimm...

Re: accuracy kits, anyone try them?
the kits are only $9.99 single use or $19.99 for 3 uses I think and they are tin and cloth very close to the original stuff so its not like I'll be out a ton if It doesn't work. Hell, I haven't received the 91/30 yet so I may not need it at all but I do want one of those sight tools and like most of...

There is / was a huge Westinghouse factory that is about 6 miles from my old residence in Pittsburgh, PA. I have no idea if they had anything at all to do with the firearms produced by Westinghouse I did however live 9 miles from the Union Switch and Signal plant that produced 1911s for WW2. There w...

Re: This Ammo Thing Is Crazy !!!!!!
Gun sales and ammo sales definitely shoot up every election especially if a known gun hater wins, but to compare the current situation to that is naive. Every gun manufacturer, retailer, and online dealer has stated very publicly that they have never seen anything close to this. This is not simple ...

Re: Bolt hitting the reciver when cycling
I do not accept the faking of snipers, or the alteration of any milsurp past simple parts replacment if something has broken, and I keep broken parts with the rifle. The refurbs are Cold War collectables, they are relics of thattime and represent what would have been the weapons in the hands of our...

sounds like your extractor is malfunctioning which is extremely common. these can not be fixed, only replaced. they tend to be crudely milled with sharp edges and burrs, the temper might have expired they are also found to be twisted or bent.

Re: This Ammo Thing Is Crazy !!!!!!
Dick's Sporting Goods here had Winchester Black .22lr (1250 fps /40 grn) on sale for $99.00/2000 rounds in the plastic ammo cans. I picked up 5. Why would any (semi) sane individual buy up that much .22? Because other idots were cleaning out all the bulk ammo :chuckles: . Here, one cannot find ANY ...
