Re: New markings found
Stock appears to be original Configuration #8. I'm not seeing any signs of Arsenal refurbishment on the stock. It has the [SA] mark but I am not seeing the "D" mark.(experts)? I'm curious if this is an original stock for this rifle.

Re: M91 options
When zeebill mentions pricey many of them are going for $100.00 and up. On page 2 of the forum I have a thread titled M91 bayonet with a recent purchase I just made. They can be found on Ebay here and there and in most cases get bid up pretty high. Good luck! I HAD to have one too  From th...

Re: M91 options
It would take an M91 socketed bayonet. (Not the 91/30 spring loaded bayonet) although it will fit.

It would take fabric/leather sling with dog collars.

No scope that I am aware of.

Re: New markings found
If you mean under the rear tang that is the Sestroryetsk arrow stamp with the last three digits of the date, in this case 894-1894. Sure looks like 9^9 ? to me... can't tell on that last digit, if it's a 4 or not. I was all excited for him that it may be original receiver on that barrel. On Sestys ...

Another Sestroryetsk!! Clean, Crisp roll on her. Nice! I'm curious why or when they started adding the (r) after the year. Mine is missing that. VERY interested in seeing more!

Re: 1914 Izhevsk 91/30 with a 1925 barrel
Could "31" be the year it was updated to 91/30 spec and became an ex-Dragoon? I have a '26 Izhevsk ex-Dragoon.... I'm far from an expert but from what I read here the (r) often stands for year so if its a **r I would think there's a good chance it was dated at a significant time... ie: Re...

Re: WarThunder (Tank Warfare)
Sorry, no, sounds like fun but not sure even what you are talking about, video games? I start playing at tank warfare and you will see it on the news, man steals tank from guard base and drives it through the house of an idiot who deserved it in spades. :chuckles: Alright, It was worth a shot. This...

WarThunder (Tank Warfare)
Does anyone in this community play WarThunder (Tank battles) on the Steam service? I absolutely love the game, feels way more "Adult" than World of Tanks. If you do and would like my Steam ID just send me a message! https://store.steampowered.com/about/ Steam is a free gaming service. http...

Führer demands competence!!
I found this absolutely hilarious, mostly because I am guilty of the same damn thing when I got my first Mosin. Now I understand what a lot of you gentlemen face on a daily basis :chuckles: . As much as I love researching and learning about Mosins, a lot of things just cannot be found, lost to time....

Re: 1914 Izhevsk 91/30 with a 1925 barrel
The only stamp I see that may have known meaning is the (31r) on the bottom of the barrel, "r" usually stands for "year". Maybe a refurbishment date? Could be wrong. I know the mark under the Izhevsk bow and arrow is a refurbishment mark as well. Other than that the other random ...

Re: Off the Rarity Charts - [SA] 1939 M/38
I skimmed through this thread the best I could. On the '39 M38 in the 11th photo of the butt stock was it ever determined what the "A" with the dot above it stamped in the stock is? Only curious because I have an M91 with the same mark, same location. It is a Finned Stock. Perhaps just the...

Random Mosin Pics over the Ages
I was surfing YouTube and came across this video, pretty neat. The music I could do without but it's quite a slideshow of Mosin Nagants over time and around the world. First couple pictures, I wouldn't mind digging through those rifles for a few days. https://youtu.be/64DjGtBzMUU There's a good chan...
