Re: Classic firearms Mosin Nagants as low as $189

Understood, I’m still learning as I go here. This forum is very different from most I’m on, I’m trying to stay within the purist rules, and just enjoy the content :)

Re: Anyone Here Claim This Woman?

I flinched when she flinched on the trigger.

I wish my wife would try a Mosin- She shot my AR15 once, and said it was "too powerful" so I am not hopeful...

Re: Dirty Harry gun

Model 29 was the first handgun and revolver I ever shot- I wasn't ready for it, and the front sight almost hit me in the forehead. took me 3 rounds to hit my target. Beautiful guns.

Re: Classic firearms Mosin Nagants as low as $189

I am seeing $239, by the way, Classic is not paying for advertising here, very unfair to those who are paying to advertise here. I had issues with them years ago that I have not forgotten. They are easy enough to find with google for those who like to roll the dice and hope their rifle isn't being ...

Re: Chinese SKS

Must be nice to have a Cabela's near you. We have a Bass Pro Shop nearby but the chances of finding a war surplus rifle are non-existent. The surplus stuff my candelas has is usually way over priced and either really beat up, or rusty. They have a bunch of side by side and over/under shotguns that ...

Re: Beat Up Mosin's Now Going For $469.95 !!

I think anyone locally near me that's selling a Mosin for around $230-300 that's not rusty will sell quick. Cabelas has a rack of rusty round and a couple hex receivers between $279, and $399 and a couple for $429 and I was probably the only one that bought one... I got my 1935 Hex Izhevsk for $349 ...

Re: Two dirty girls..

Couple nice shooter for that price! I’m in Mass and I bought a 1959 model Chinese SKS in jungle stock for $500

They’re not super common around me unless you feel like getting ripped at cabelas for a beat up yugo model with no bayonet

Re: Chinese SKS

That’s a nice piece! Cabelas near me only has a rack full of crummy yugo SKS models, no bayonets, and the wood all looks like they were run over... $500 and up

Re: Yugo Model 1924 I just picked up!

Looks nice overall. If it were mine I would be tempted to try a little wood glue in the crack but that not always the best idea, and it’s probably fine as is.

Hand oil (from use) will darken the wood [emoji106][emoji2532]

Re: Please Help me identify my SKS

Alright, so I got to the bottom of it... with suggestions, I joined an SKS forum, and they pointed me to this article: http://chinesesks.weebly.com/195960-letter-guns.html It is a 1959-1960 Chinese made “letter gun” which strictly means it has a letter in the serial number, and was low production. I...

Re: airweight

OK, I made a huge mistake. It is one of my Christmas presents, so she wanted to be there (for some reason) to watch over my shoulder. We have a lot of property in the mountains not far from where the fires were (but it safe). It is attached to our neighbors who have lots to the sides of us ........ ...

Re: Please Help me identify my SKS

Couple more pics... has the Russian symbol on the rear sight leaf, and looks to have what may be an Ishevsk triangle on the receiver below the rear sight? Also the mismatched bolt serial number, also with a letter in from a numeric serial IMG_0226.JPG IMG_0228.JPG IMG_0231.JPG IMG_0233.JPG At any ra...

Re: Please Help me identify my SKS

This is where I got the info about the sino-soviet Chinese models. And again, I’m not sure this is 100% accurate, but they claim that with the serial number starting with a letter and before the /26\ Factory code, it is sino-Soviet. I guess I would have to pull the barrel and clreceiver back out of ...

Re: airweight

We sell a lot of these Airweight S&Ws to the ladies that come in. S&W even makes an Airweight with Rosewood grips to pleas them. I'm not saying they are a ladies gun but they are a good fit for them. I just always liked them cause of old cop shows- the snub nose, the colt detective, etc...I...

Please Help me identify my SKS

Could be a 1956 but it is not a Sino Soviet Model. The $500 price is not that bad. We bought out a supplier of these Paratrooper and regular Chinese models and we sell them for $495 to $600 depending on the model. Go to the online SKS forum and you can date it. I’ll check out the sks forum too. Tha...

Re: airweight

I have a model 37 airweight, 637 airweight, and a 36-1 chiefs special. The newer models are all 38+P and you can get decent semi jacketed hollow point +P and they run Great. If you run something like a Winchester defend ammo which is a jacketed hollow point standard pressure, the recoil is like a 9m...
